Application

Conduspar MT 69kV and MTX 69kV cables are suitable for power distribution and transmission circuits, underground installations in substations and special feeders in industries. MT 69kV cables are EPR insulated and MTX 69kV cables are XLPE insulated. Installation requirements often influence the constructive characteristics of these cables, including advanced protection against ingress of moisture.

Construction

Conductor: bare electrolytic copper or 1350 aluminum wires, compact class 2 stranding, with longitudinal moisture blocking – according to NBR NM 280 (IEC 60228) Conductor shielding: thermosetting semiconductor compound.

Insulation: thermosetting compound of EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) or XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene), processed simultaneously in triple extrusion with dry vulcanization.

Insulation shielding: thermosetting semiconductor compound, easy to remove when cold or thermally adhered to the insulation.

Metal shielding: bare copper wire crown, minimum section of 16mm2.

Cover: Thermoplastic composite of flame-retardant PVC/ST2 or weather-resistant PE/ST7.

*Other construction options, longitudinal and radial moisture blocks, on request.

Operating Temperatures

In steady state: 90 °C

In overload: 130 °C
